(Press Release) A keen-eyed person is being credited for the successful capture of two Madera County Parolees and a Fresno woman. All three are facing numerous felony charges, including vehicle theft.
Behind bars: 32-year Demetrius Padilla, aka “Game Over,” 28-year-old Christopher Rodriguez Perez, aka “Ears,” and 22-year old Kayla Ingram.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, the Madera County Sheriff’s Department was alerted to a theft in progress at a laundry mat near Friant. The tipster said three people were seen trying to pry open a coin operated washing machine, then flee the scene in a white Ford F-150 truck. The get-away vehicle was later found to have been reported stolen from a Madera County business early Tuesday morning.
Sergeant Mark Stritzel (first on scene) caught up with the truck, where one of the suspects was seen trying to siphon gas from a vehicle parked at the public lot located at 4-corners (CA-41 and 145).
He reportedly took off running when Sergeant Stritzel pulled in. He quickly detained the two suspects left behind. The third (later identified as Padilla) was captured a short time later in a pasture nearby.
The business that owns the truck had suffered numerous break-ins during the last month and half, not only losing a number of tools but at least 300 gallons of gas.
Inside the stolen truck Deputies found several keys, a huge assortment of burglary tools and numerous pieces of mail – so far deputies have identified at least 11 victims of mail theft.
According to DOC records, two of the three suspects have a criminal past.
32-year old year old Demetrius Padilla, who also goes by several names including Michael Aguilar, Demetrius Jude Carillo, Jude Padilla, “Dimi Locks,” “Locks,” and “Game Over” (and on Parole for vehicle theft), is suspected of stealing the truck yesterday from a Madera County business – and stealing roughly $60 worth of gas as well. Before his arrest this morning, Padilla was facing a court appearance (scheduled for January 9th) – arrested in December for possession of burglary tools. He remains behind bars on a parole hold at this hour facing drug charges, vehicle theft possession of stolen property, plus 11 counts of mail theft.
28-year old Christopher Perez, who goes the names, “Ears,” “Green Eyes,” and Christopher Rodriguez, was also on parole at the time of his arrest. He was on parole for burglary. He too remains behind bars on a parole hold, facing drug charges and possession of stolen property, plus 11 counts of mail theft.
22-year old Kayla Ingram arrested along with Padilla and Perez is behind bars booked on suspicion of drug related charges and possession of stolen property, as well as 11 counts of mail theft.
