A big rig and an Amtrak train collided Monday afternoon on Kansas and 10th near Hanford.

The Amtrak 712 left Oakland Monday morning heading to Bakersfield. Around 12:20 p.m. a big rig was crossing the tracks hitting and derailing the train.

There were 169 people aboard the train with minor injuries reported. Four people are being taken to Adventist Health in Hanford for treatment. Two more are in route to the hospital. The hospital has also established a Command Center.

The rest of the passengers are being transported to the Civic Auditorium in Hanford.

Amtrak has suspended it's train services indefinitely.
