Tulare County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a group of auto thieves.

Investigators say they stole a taxi cab and robbed the driver at gunpoint in Earlimart over the weekend.

Deputies say four men called a taxi for a ride. When they got to their destination, deputies say the men pulled a gun, roughed up the driver and took off with the cab. Hours later, a SWAT team surrounded a home and arrested 18-year-old Jesus Gamboa.

Fortunately, the cab driver was able to walk away from the attack. Chris Douglass of the Tulare County Sheriff's Office said, "He did sustain a few minor injuries but didn't need to seek medical treatment but they did steal the taxi from him and we were able to recover it and make one arrest."

Deputies are still searching for the three other men. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.
