In just four days two athletes have been kicked off teams for racist tweets. One fan has been arrested for a series of threatening posts. American swimmer Missy Franklin got a surprise tweet from her newest fan Justin Beiber.
Web expert Doctor Tamyra Pierce says social media has added a new dimension to these games.
