Fresno County Sheriff's detectives are investigating a fatal officer involved shooting in Orange Cove.
Detectives say a little after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Orange Cove Police were dispatched to a home just off 4th and H Streets. Detectives say when officers arrived, one thing led to another when two officers fired at the man. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
People who live in the area say they heard police yelling at the man to get down before he was shot. They say they heard about 5-8 gunshots.
Detectives say police have been at the residence before. The investigation is ongoing.
