KSEE24 caught up with Jose Ramirez Wednesday morning at the Fresno airport shortly before he stepped on the plane.
He said he's looking forward to representing the valley. "I'm ready and I'm going prepared. I know it's going to be an experience that I'm not going to forget. I'm going to embrace the experience and do my best. It's a dream come true, now it's time to try and finish that dream with a nice gold medal and bring it back."
His first fight is scheduled for July 29th.
