A special honor was awarded to a Kingsburg student Thursday.
Nicole Osborne of the Kingsburg FFA became the first recipient of the Fresno Grizzlies' Community Farm Grown Grant.
Nicole was given a $250 dollar check at Chukchansi park Thursday morning. The money will go to insurance and feed bills for her two lambs.
This is the third year Nicole is a part of the Kingsburg FFA. "It's not easy, you've gotta be committed. Between school, and cheer, and Ag, I'm extremely busy 'til 8:00," said Osborne.
The Fresno Grizzlies partnered with the Kingsburg Land Bank for the Farm Grown Grant Program.
