Ground Water Supply Shrinking

A new report is painting a very bleak picture of the state's water supply. Droughts and population growth are putting an extra burden on our underground aquifers.

When the underground water level drops, your energy bill goes up. That's because it costs more money to pump the water a longer distance.

Water experts hope to improve infrastructure to both increase our water storage capacity and make transporting water more efficient.
