A woman staged her own abduction because she wanted a day off work and a little attention.

Sheila Eubank pretended she had been the victim of a knifepoint kidnapping by a drug dealer.

The 48-year-old told police she was forced to withdraw cash from an ATM and drive around San Antonio, Texas, for 12 hours while her abductor carried out drug deals.

When police found Bailey she was lying motionless with her hands bound by rope.

But detectives were doubtful of her story due to inconsistencies and found a lottery ticket in her handbag that was purchased at around the same time she was allegedly kidnapped.
