(Press Release) The City of Woodlake has announced the retirement of long time Woodlake Police Chief John Zapalac.
Chief Zapalac arrived at the Woodlake Police Department on loan from the Tulare County Sheriff's Department in November 1997. After a brief stint as the interim chief of the Woodlake Police Department, he was given the opportunity to become the permanent Chief in July 1998.
Chief Zapalac and the City of Woodlake have agreed that in order to facilitate the recruitment of a new Chief he will step down as the Woodlake Police Chief as of August 20, 2012.
