In February, a federal jury convicted Vaughn on charges of possessing child pornography. Vaughn had worked in the sheriff department's sex crimes unit before leaving to start a photography business.&#xD;
&#xD;
This past June, in a controversial move, a judge allowed Vaughn to leave his prison cell to attend his daughter's high school graduation.</description>
