      <title>Brush fire destroys home in North Fresno</title>

      <description>A brush fire near the San Joaquin River behind the area of Fruit and Alluvial has destroyed one home and severely damaged a second home. The fire broke out late Thursday afternoon. Eight other homes in the area were evacuated. Neighbors say the home that was destroyed belonged to an elderly couple who were moving in to a convalescent home and had the home up for sale.  By nightfall, firefighters had the blaze under control. All working firefighters from Fresno, along with Clovis firefighters and Cal Fire came out to battle the fire. It was the largest call out in Fresno County in 20 years. No one was injured.</description>

The order will borrow water from the federal government to provide some relief to drought-stricken farm land. Those at the heart of the battle say this water 'loan' is far short of a long-term solution to the problem.</description>
