  Valley residents participated in a national event benefiting homeless veterans. The VA 2k Walk and Roll kicked off Wednesday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Fresno. The VA says one out of four homeless men are veterans.

• Company Asks to Raise Visalia Water Rates

  Water rates in Visalia could be going up soon. Cal Water wants to hike the bill by over 28% over the next few years.

• Clovis Schools Ready to Go Solar

  Nearly two dozen Clovis Unified schools will soon be going solar. It's all part of a plan the district says will save them millions over the next two decades. Five schools will officially power up their solar panels on Friday, with another sixteen following suit by December.

• Fresno VA Hospital Employees Pound the Pavement to Help Homeless Vets

  The VA 2k Walk and Roll is an event that encourages workers at the hospital to get out outside for fresh air and exercise all while helping veteran's in the process. To take part in the walk, participants are encouraged to donate small toiletries or cash contributions which help the homeless veteran's who are down on their luck.
