Opening Day was not kind to the Valley's minor league affiliates.

Yunesky Sanchez's walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th inning earned the Reno Aces a 5-4 victory over the Fresno Grizzlies Thursday night at Aces Ballpark.

Meanwhile in Visalia, the Rawhide were held scoreless by the Stockton Ports until an unearned run crossed the plate in the 8th inning. The run allowed the Rawhide to avoid the shutout, but they could not avoid the loss, falling 5-1 to the Ports at Recreation Park.

Both series continue on Friday night.
