Teen Tased After Running onto Baseball Field

A word to the wise: if you decide to take a jog out onto a major league baseball field DURING a game, be prepared for the consequences. In the case of a 17-year-old high school senior at a Phillies games last night, that consequence was being tased.

Steve Consalvi was at Monday night’s Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park with friends, when, in the seventh inning, he called his dad, Wayne, who was sitting at home watching the game.

“My son called me right around the seventh inning and said, ‘Dad, can I run on the field?’” Wayne Consalvi said Tuesday morning. “I said, ‘Son, I don’t think you should run on the field.’ He said, ‘It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.’ I said, ‘Son, I don’t think you should do it.’ He did it anyway.”
