On the eve of the election, hundreds of Proposition 8 supporters and opponents crowded street corners across Fresno carrying signs and chanting slogans in sighting passer-bys and each other.

These simultaneous rallies put an even bigger spot light on Prop 8, the constitutional initiative to eliminate same sex marriage.

I was watching another new station, ok it's ABC 30, and they interviewed a young girl who had chained herself to City Hall's doors demanding that the Mayor of this fair city, APOLOGIZE for 'using his political power to get people to vote yes on 8". Hmmmm!!! Seems to me that the Mayor of San Fransisco ought to be apologizing to the rest of this State for using his political pull to tell people to vote No on prop 8. In fact, he is far louder and downright angry about taking this to CA S.Ct.

All the Bible pushers here need to read the text from their own book and practice what they preach. For Example : Leviticus 19:19, Leviticus 25:44-46, leviticus 11:10. Basically, These passages say that you cannot eat Shrimp, you cannot wear clothes made from two different materials and SLAVERY IS "A-OK".

What ever happened to the separation of Church and State? It's quite a sad state to be in when I can compare what African Americans went through 30-40 years ago to what gay and lesbians couples are going through today. Anyone that voted yes on this Proposition should really feel ashamed of yourselves. Please open your eyes and stop this bigotry.

How about San Fransisco, Santa Clara County and Los Angeles forming their own state. That way, they can pass whatever law they want to pass and live in a state of bliss. They may be calling themselves gay, but the truth is, they are not happy campers. If they want to blame others for that, they need to look at the past history with open eyes and minds, and see that for the most part gay partnerships have been accepted by most people in this State, but they decided to use force, and censorship.

Church is against gays and lesbians, but I bet that if a gay or lesbian give them $100,000 they will take it. Get my point.!!!!!

Read Silent Partner and a few other books PFLAG followers have in print. It's sad when militant activists use death threats, blackmail, spread junk science to dummies, beat on PFOX members for being EX GAYS and handing out pamphlets in MD. PFOX also support Gays. Yeah there are those who take their religion to the extreme, but there is an equal extreme from PFLAG followers. Yes was the only way to go, You have a CHOICE !! Read NARTH website.

I VOTED NO ON 8. If church goers believe that people were created by our savior, then why would he punish us for what he had created. I have my faith, and I believe He loves me regardless. It isn't a choice of who we are, but it should be a choice if we want to get married. Its funny how people put so much concern in the safety of animals, but that of a human life and right and their happiness is intolerable.

No one's word means more than God's! The bible clearly states that marriage is between a Man & Woman! No if's ands or but's about it. It's not about discrimination, it's about doing what is RIGHT! How God meant for it to BE! We can't stop you from being with the person you love but we CAN vote to keep marriage the way it was created to be!

Wednesday, Nov 5 at 1:08 PM JAW wrote ...

as i recall, god doesn't hate. He loves everyone and who are you people to say who we should love and not love and who we should marry. How would you like to be told you can't marry the person you love regardless race, color or sex. There's so many darn religions that someone back in ancient times chose man and woman to be normal. If god didn't want gay people in this world he wouldn't have allowed us to be gay in the first place. We don't choose to be shut down.

I voted YES on 8. First, I did not want a mockery made of my marriage and also I would have lost all of my rights as a parent. Those that voted no on prop 8 still have all of their rights.

Regardless if this passes, God is the creator and is still in control whether people see it or not. Man does not have the power to override Gods law, we try, but he has complete authority. I voted yes.

My God says to LOVE everybody, help others and fix YOURSELF--the religious nutjobs have it backwards--they hate and try to "fix" others and help themselves. Gay, straight--God loves everybody and not allowing gays to marry is the same as denying blacks equal education (i.e., separate but equal). NO to HATE and bigotry!! Shame on Yes on 8 voters!!!

People are ignorant on what Prop 8 is about. They dont know the facts, just the lies the religious fanatics are telling. No is the only vote that is right. Same sex marriage will not affect anyone but the couple that is getting married. Wake up.

I voted NO on 8! What does GOD's word have to deal with EQUALITY!!! What harm is it really going to do with ya'll straight people anyway. It's not like if this doesn't pass all the gays are going to disappear. All it's asking for is EQAULITY.
