Facing a more than 40 billion dollar deficit, California is in danger of going broke.

What’s worse, legislators cannot agree on a plan to fix it.

After vetoing democrat’s budget bills Tuesday night, during a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger urged lawmakers to set aside party ideologies and work together towards a compromise.

But, democrat assembly member, Juan Aramblua said finding middle ground is not the problem saying, “He (Gov. Schwarzenegger) wanted a package of revenues and cuts. We sent it to him, so I don’t understand why he vetoed the proposal. The only thing that makes sense is that he’s acting childish and didn’t get everything he wanted and is willing to jeopardize millions of people.”
