Hard times for the fiscal health of Fresno. Revenues have dropped 55 million dollars in the last 12 months, leaving a gaping 28 million dollar budget hole for 2010/11. The fix? City wide department cuts and layoffs as early as January first. Jon Brent sits down for a one on one with Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin in this Central Valley Focus.

Jon, I have always been a fan of yours, but your interview of Mayor Swearingen came off as antagonistic and rude and she remained gracious even with your "attitude"

It's unfair to put every Republican in the same category. There are plenty of politicians on both sides of the aisle with questionable judgement!

This from the city idiots who want to shut down medical marijuana dispensaries that could bring in a couple million in tax to the city thus possibly saving these jobs. But no, they wouldnt want to help anyone out or anything. This mayor is a complete idiot. That is synonymous with republican by the way.
