By Megan Valentine

There are countless Valley families who have been touched by war at some point or another.

In a KSEE 24 News Special Assignment Report, Rich Rodriguez introduces you to a family of six who will soon join that group. But their situation is different from most.

Father Terry Slatic,47, had to fight just to get back into the Marines.

He's leaving his wife and kids to re-join the military and the War on Terror. Now, the family is living with the fact that come September he's headed to Iraq to lead his unit, facing dangerous missions on a daily basis.
