A woman was taken to the hospital after an apartment fire in north Fresno.
Fire fighters were called to the Whispering Woods Apartment complex near Fresno and Shaw just before 5:00 on Saturday.
According to fire officials the blaze started on the stove in the kitchen.
One woman was taken to the hospital after breathing in smoke.
Only one apartment unit was destroyed in the blaze.
The damage is estimated at $25,000.
