Victoria De La Fuente is in critical condition at the hospital. Police say her roommate Chasety Reynolds poured gasoline on her, lit it and watched her burn. Two men saw the flames, wrapped De La Fuente in a blanket and put the fire out. She suffered 3rd degree burns on her face and arms.

De La Fuente's son Michael Ybarra has been by her side since the attack, "When iIlook at my mom, I don't see the burns, I see my mom," he added, "I don't sit there, look at her and cry, I sit there and smile...she's alive."

Ybarra doesn't know what led up to the attack. He says his mom had only known Reynolds for a few months. They were friends, De La Fuente needed a place to stay and Reynolds took her in.

Reynolds was arrested at the scene. She was arraigned Tuesday and is facing multiple charges including attempted murder.
