(KFOR) Usually it is just pocket change dropped into the Salvation Army red kettles, but over the weekend volunteers in Enid, Oklahoma made a surprising discovery.

The Enid Salvation Army found a wedding ring.

The Salvation Army is looking for the owner to make sure this was an actual donation and not a mistake.

"We've had some coins that sometimes were worth $30 to $50 but I think this is the most expensive thing we have ever found in the kettles," Major John Dancer said.

The Salvation Army isn't saying what the ring looks like or the location where it was dropped off.

After 90 days if the ring is not claimed, the Salvation Army will accept it as a donation.
