Clovis police and the Fresno Sheriff's Office had their hands full with a standoff today. Adding to the tension; it took place next to an elementary school.

Police were serving an eviction notice at a home on Griffith near Fowler avenue. Father and son Dennis and Sean Napier lived there.

Both have violent arrest records. Police had information that they wouldn't give up their home without a fight.

When police went to the home this morning they noticed two men were inside. That sent the Sheriff's swat team into action.

Classes continued at nearby Miramonte Elementary School. Although police kept a strong presence on campus.

After an eight hour standoff, police sent in a K-9 unit. After the elder Napier was attacked, he and his son quickly surrendered to police.

Investigators stayed on scene to make sure the home was secure. Neighbors say they weren't surprised by the standoff, saying the Napiers have been a problem in the past.
