Firefighters responded to a house fire in west Fresno Thursday afternoon.
Fire officials say a man in the home claims "someone" lit his recliner chair on fire at a home on Brawley south of Shields. He escaped the flames and was not hurt.
The house is is total loss, estimated at $100,000.
Officials say several fires have been set in the area recently, but the causes have been undetermined.
