Officers say just before 8:00 a.m. Monday morning the driver of a 60's Chevy Nova left the Beacon gas station at high speed. The 29-year-old driver drifted from the westbound lane to the eastbound lane and hit a Dodge pick-up near Peach and Olive. The driver of the Nova was pronounced dead at the scene.
KSEE24 spoke with a man who says he knew the victim and his family. "Five kids, a wife he's been with since junior high, and it's like like... I don't know what they're gonna do because he was the sole provider of the family and it's just crazy."
The driver and two passengers in the Dodge vehicle were taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
