An Oakhurst woman has been convicted on animal cruelty charges after she was witnessed punching a small puppy.
39 year old Jannice Aguilar was convicted last week.
The Madera County District Attorney's officed filed charges after the August 29th incident.
The DA's office says Aguilar was holding the puppy to the ground and punching it repeatedly in the eye.
Aguilar is scheduled for sentencing on April 9th.
