A popular park in northeast Fresno is getting some much needed attention. Todd Beamer park is getting free maintenance for the next six months. Due of the city's budget problems, and cuts in the parks departments, the city isn't able to maintain all the city parks. Today the city announced that All Commercial Landscape Service will provide free maintenance to the park for the next 6 months.
"Its about a $50,000 investment to bring this park back up to speed and make it a neighborhood park it really should be," said Tom Delaney, CEO of All Commercial Landscape Service. The company will reseed all the grass at the park, plant new trees and prune all the current trees as well. The park was named after Todd Beamer who died while on-board Flight 93 September 11th.
