Family and friends talked about her life as an example of enduring hope, And said their lives are better for having known Regan Johnson.
Regan Johnson was remembered as kind, intelligent, beautiful, and compassionate.
She was tall and beautiful... A family member said she would be defined by that, but because of the height her achievements, and her inner beauty.
Roger Siegrist is the pastor at Big Creek Church.
"We went down to the general store and Regan just looked down to my son Joshua and offered him an ice cream cone. It was the kind of impact she had with children. Like they said in the funeral, kids just ran to her."
Many were in tears this morning, saddened by the loss... But during the services, a close friend mentioned a favorite quote of Regan's...
"It's not about waiting for storms to pass, but about dancing in the rain."
Her friends said she was the kind of person that made those around her better.
Kaitlyn Vargas was a close friend.
"I think walking into our classes at Fresno State, a lot of the time we didn't want to be there and she would walk in with her smile, right, and it made it a little better to have her and her there joking, uplifting us a little bit for class."
The show of support for Regan's family this morning was overwhelming.
But Regan touched the lives of many across the central valley.
She worked at the Big Creek General Store in the mountains, and at Dry Creek Elementary in Clovis.
She went to school in Kingsburg, Fresno, and Reedley, where Anna Martinez was one of her instructors.
"To know that a person that good and a student that bright, someone that beautiful and that kind appreciated me as a teacher, makes me feel really good."
A token to remember Regan Johnson by was handed out this morning in the form of a bookmark.
On it was the last thing she wrote on Facebook...
It said, "Life is like a coin. You can choose to spend it any way you wish... But you can only spend it once."
