Five people are in the hospital, after a drive-by shooting took place in the area of Nevada and Bend Avenues, near Roosevelt High School. Investigators say it happened at 8:20, Wednesday night. Family members say the victims were playing basketball on the street, when they saw a car slowly driving by. Next thing they knew, someone inside the car fired at them, multiple times. One of the victims, Edward Barrera was shot in the neck. Michael Arcala and Dominic Tom were both hit in the arm. We're not sure at this point who the other two victims are and where they were shot. They were taken to the hospital. All suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police are investigating if the shooting is gang related. They are still looking for a suspect in this case, and the vehicle, a white or silver Dodge Durango, or similar. If you have any information on this shooting, you’re asked to call Fresno Police.
