It was another rainy day across the Valley today, and the weather has put a damper on some holiday business.
Rain or shine, Kay Kringle's Christmas Tree Farm is open for business.
Owner Kay Khanzadian says, "Christmas does not wait for us. It's December 25th, so everyone does need a Christmas tree."'
Sunday, the farm wasn't as busy as usual, and owners blame the wet weather.
"This morning was a great turn out. It started out great but when the rain hit, it sort of slowed it down, but they're still coming."
It might not be the typical traffic, but atleast there is some. Like Michelle Santiago and her family, who wouldn't let a little water drown out a holiday routine.
Michelle Santiago says, "Every year it's family tradition. We come out here and pick out a tree and the rain didn't stop us."
The rain took a bit of a toll in Downtown Fresno. A normally packed ice skating rink, drew just one lone soul.
"I don't mind because I don't really care about the rain, it's just water," says Adam Tamayo.
Ten year old Adam Tamayo had the rink all to himself. Even though the ice was about an inch deep in water, he wasn't complaining.
"You can go everywhere and when all the people are here you have to go like this way and that way."
Not everyone is as willing to brave the rain, and that can hinder some holiday business. But, at places like Kay Kringle Christmas Tree Farm, the winter weather can also bring something more special than numbers.
"I think with the weather change it does get everyone in the Christmas spirit."
