The iPad 3 was officially released Friday morning around the country and the world. The new model comes with a faster processor, a sharper screen and an improved camera.
At the Apple Store at Fresno's Fashion Fair Mall, shoppers started lining up at 4:00 a.m. to get Apple's latest and greatest iPad.
John Headen who joined the crowd said, "I purchased it earlier and they just came out with it and I understood there would probably be a line here. A lot of people waiting for it so I came out early to beat the crowd."
Starting price for the iPad three is $499.
