This year, she is also here share her knowledge with a friend from school.
"I'm trying to show here that we are not terrorists, that we love everyone in the same way and we're trying to create peace in the world."
For Harninder Gill, the celebration is also a reunion, a time to reflect and and be proud....
"It kind of connects me back to my roots, where I come from, who i am and it means a great deal to me."
