Ronald Glen Holdcroft passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the age of 62. Ron was born in Fresno, CA and a resident of Madera, CA for the past 56 years. Ron served his country in the US Navy from 1964 to 1967 in Vietnam, during his service years he was deployed on the USS Wedderburn. He was the recipient of three services medals and two bronze stars. In 1968 Ron began working for the City of Madera Police Department, retiring after 33 years. He was bestowed the honor of “Lawman of the Year” in 1998 by the Madera Police Department. Ron was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, the Madera Police Officers Association, and the Madera B.P.O.E. #1918, receiving the award “Elk of the Year” for 2007-08. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Madera.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Holdcroft and his brother Gary Holdcroft. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Renee Holdcroft, his mother, Shirley Holdcroft, his daughters, Denise Ann Couch and Carrie Lynn Chapman and her husband Wade all of Madera. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Haeley Gail Couch, Jefferson Michael Couch, Lauren Renee Chapman and Paige Alison Chapman.

A Graveside gathering will be held on: Friday, October 30, 2009, 10:00 AM at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, CA
