Arthur E. Penner was born on May 14, 1917 in Littlefield, Texas He passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the age of 92.

Art was an on-site foreman for the prestigious construction firm of Taylor Wheeler Builders for 36 years, building many noteworthy houses during his career, including Fresno's famous Dream House and several residences on Seventeen Mile Drive in Carmel and the Art Colony of Big Sur.

In retirement he did repair work for anyone who called. There was nothing he couldn't fix.

He is survived by Ella his wife of 43 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Dotty and Al Warkentine of Clovis, Nancy and Harry Siemens of Fresno, Bonnie and Dan Andrus of St. Louis, Missouri; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Debbie Penner of Fresno; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. In addition, he is mourned by many nieces, nephews, friends, and a host of people for whom he did repair work.

A Graveside service will be held at Belmont Memorial Park on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 1:30 p.m.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Mennonite Brethren Church on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.
