Week 8 was not easy on the section's top two teams...but bothfound a way to pull out victories on the road.
Top ranked Buchanan was held to 7 first half points by the Clovis Cougars, but were able to pull away in the second half for a 28-7 victory.
Meanwhile, the Bullard Knights found themselves in an even deeper hole at Tom Flores Stadium in Sanger. Vincent Enriquez' 22 yard touchdown run gave the Apaches a 14-6 lead heading into the 4th quarter.
Then the Knights' ground game took over. Devan Mack and Jordan Jones each scored rushing touchdowns and the Knights held off a final Sanger rally to pull out the 20-14 victory.

Bullard's next opponent, Edison, had no problems taking down Hoover 43-7...and at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the Clovis West Golden Eagles held on late to defeat rival Clovis East 21-14.
