Clippers forward Blake Griffin will have to watch the London game from the bench.
He injuried his left knee during Wednesday's practice and returned to Los Angeles on Thursday for an MRI.
The results were not good. He suffered an meniscus tear and will have surgery sometime next week.
Griffin will not step foot in this summers Olympic games, but will be healthy in time for Clippers trianing camp.
