SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. --- The Fresno State baseball team earned a thrilling 5-3 come-from-behind road victory over the Cal Poly Mustangs on Tuesday night for head coach Mike Batesole's 600th career win.

After Cal Poly took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third, Fresno State catcher Austin Wynns opened the fourth by poking a single down the right field line and later scored on Jordan Luplow's RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.

The Mustangs added a run in both the fourth and fifth to take a 3-1 lead until the Bulldogs scored four times in the top of the ninth.

Taylor Garrison tossed a scoreless ninth inning to close out Cal Poly (21-14) and post his eighth save of the season.

The Bulldogs (16-19) return home to Beiden Field on Saturday at 6 p.m. to face the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners in the second of three-straight non-conference contests for Fresno State.
