Diamond Dogs slam San Diego State, 10-3

The Fresno State baseball team won their fourth-straight game, 10-3, over Aztec Invitational hosts San Diego State. The Bulldogs are 9-6 on the season and undefeated in tournament play this weekend.

The `Dogs scored 10 runs on 14 hits that including two doubles and a triple. Daniel Moultrie hit 1.000 in his first career start while four other Bulldogs went 2-for-4 against the Aztecs.

Sophomore Josh Poytress threw six and a third innings in his fourth start of the year. The lefty sat down the first six Aztec batters he faced in order. He shut out SDSU through the first five innings and struck out six batters. Poytress has a 2-1 record and a 4.18 ERA.

The Bulldogs are 3-0 at the Aztec Invitational. Fresno State concludes the tournament tomorrow against San Diego at noon.
