Jerry Brown scored a career-high 17 points to lead Fresno State to a 66-55 nonconference win over Cal State San Marcos.
The Bulldogs victory spoiled Tim Steed's return to Fresno. Steed played last season at Fresno State but left after Steve Cleveland was fired as head coach. He scored 10 pionts in a losing effort for the Cougars.
The Bulldogs will hit the road to face Nevada on Saturday at 7pm.
