    Robert Upshaw signs National Letter of Intent with Fresno State. The 7-foot center from Memorial High chose the Bulldogs over Cal, Washington and USC. In November Upshaw signed a non-binding athletic aid agreement with Kansas State. But when Frank Martin left the Wildcats to coach at South Carolina Upshaw was able to de-commit and sign with Fresno State.

  • Hoover Hires Mike Hill as Head Coach of Varsity Football

    Mike Hill named head coach of the varsity football team at Hoover High School. Hill has been assistant coach with the Patriots since 2008 before being promoted to head coach. He is the son of Pat Hill, the former head coach at Fresno State.

    The Bullard high basketball team is getting prepared to take on the number one ranked team in the State. On Saturday the Knights will hit the court against Mater Dei in the Southern California Regional Championship.

  • Tee Shepard Leaves Notre Dame

    Tee Shepard, a former Valley standout, is no longer enrolled at Notre Dame. The University says Shepard is back in Fresno with his family. "Tee is a special person and it's unfortunate it didn't work out here," head coach Brian Kelly said. "Everyone at Notre Dame wishes him all the best in the future." If Shepard transfer to another Division I program he will have to sit out the 2012 season because of NCAA transfer rules.

  • Walter Orr on his Game Winning Buzzer-Beater Against Long Beach Poly

    Walter Orr, Bullard senior guard, is now the big man on campus after hitting a game-winning 35-foot buzzer-beater to lift the Knights to a 54-52 upset of Long Beach Poly. Bullard will face Mater Dei in the SoCal Regional Championship Game Saturday night at 8 in Ontario.
