The madness of March has not yet subsided for three Central Valley girls' basketball teams.
Clovis West, Hanford, and Yosemite each moved one step closer to a court date at the Galen Center with victories in the CIF State basketball playoffs tonight.
The Golden Eagles held off San Diego in the Division I bracket, 65-59. In Division II, Yosemite staged a furious 4th quarter rally to defeat Edison (Huntington Beach), 76-75, while Hanford defeaed Beverly Hills High with ease, 80-39.
All three teams face tough tests on Saturday night: Clovis West will host 3rd seeded Santa Monica High, Hanford will welcome nationally-ranked Mater Dei to the South Valley, and Yosemite will travel south to take on top-seeded Brea Olinda.
If Yosemite and Hanford were both to win, they would set up a rematch of the Division II Central Section Championship game...only this time, it would take place at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.
