Pat Hill staying, Bulldogs bowl bound

By KSEE News

Two big announcements out of Fresno State on Thursday; Pat Hill says he has withdrawn his name from consideration for the coaching job at the University of Washington, and the Bulldogs will be playing in the New Mexico Bowl on December 20th.

Hill said in a news release that it's in the best interest of his players and the team for him to stay at Fresno State. This past Sunday, Hill confirmed that he had interviewed for the job.

At a news conference at Fresno State, the team was formally invited to the New Mexico Bowl, which will be played Dec. 20th at University Stadium in Albuquerque. It's the 9th bowl game for the Bulldogs in the past 10 years, but the first time they will play the New Mexico Bowl. The team's opponent has not been announced yet, but the speculation is that it will be Colorado State.

There is no argument here...Hill needs to go. We lose to the "Potato State" year-end & year-out. Just think of the recruiting advantage Fresno State has compared to Boise State or even Utah. The university is not going to renew his contract in two years, so that means two "lame duck" seasons; what do you tell recruits than?

Does FSU really think they are worthy of a Bowl game after this disapointmented season and or is it just money! beacuse 7-5 is not bad but come on the good teams are 10-0 or better it take away from good teams that really should go- Lets win our lrague first than we talk. Baddog
