WHEN A SWIMMER STANDS ON THE STARTING BLOCKS, FOCUS IS ESSENTIAL. THEY CAN'T THINK ABOUT THEIR CLASSES, FRIENDS, FAMILY OR EVEN COACHES. THE FOCUS IS ON HEARING THE GUN AND HITTING THE WATER.

AS RALPH GASTON EXPLAINS, OUR STAR OF THE WEEK USED THIS FOCUS TO MAKE A BIG SPLASH FOR EDISON HIGH SCHOOL IN THIS YEAR'S C-M-A-C SWIM MEET.
