Bulldogs take two from Aggies to sweep weekend series

Fresno State earned its second WAC sweep of the season by taking the doubleheader against New Mexico State at Bulldog Diamond on Saturday.

The `Dogs won game one 7-6 and took down the Aggies 3-1 in game two. Fresno State improves to 33-14 overall and 12-3 in WAC play; NMSU falls to 21-24 and 2-13.

Morgan Melloh got the win in the first game; she is now 14-8 overall in the circle and 5-0 in WAC play.

Michelle Moses put the `Dogs on the board with a two-run home run in the third, her 16th long ball of 2010.

Moses also got the win in the circle, allowing one run on six hits with nine strikeouts.

Fresno State will head to Hawai'i next week to take on the first place team in the WAC.
