Former Fresno State baseball player Dusty Robinson took his first step to playing in the major leagues today as he flew to Arizona to get a physical.
The slugger decided to forgo his senior year signing with the Oakland A's. After the physical, Robinson will head out to the New York Penn League where he will compete for a spot with the Vermont Lake Monsters.
The first baseman was picked by the A's in the 10th round of this year's MLB draft and was one of 10 bulldogs selected. Robinson was WAC
He was also WAC player of year after he hit .310 and had 16 homeruns last season.
