Rudy Lopez, Clovis North, a Wendy's H.S. Heisman State Finalist

Rudy Lopez of Clovis North H.S. is 1 of 20 finalists for the Wendy's High School State Heisman Award.

The Heisman recognizes California's top scholar-athletes. The finalists are now in the running to become State Winners, the next phase of the program as applicants advance to become National Winners.

The finalists were chosen because they embody the Heisman spirit of hard work and dedication through their outstanding achievements in athletics, academics and community/school leadership.

Lopez plays strong safety for the Broncos football team which has an 8-1 record.
