Fresno Pacific won its season opener behind six scoreless innings from starting pitcher Matt Mazzoni and a six-run sixth inning. Mazzoni gave up just two hits and struck out seven to earn the win. The Sunbirds will hit the road to take on San Francisco State on Friday.
