West Virginia has applied and been accepted into the Big 12 Conference. The move all depends on Missouri.
The Tigers are looking to jump to the Southeastern conference and officials from Missouri say it could happen soon.
If West Virgina makes the jump, there would only be five teams left in the Big East. Those teams consist of Connecticut, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Louisville, and South Florida.
West Virginia is the Big East's premier football program so losing it would hurt the conference's chances at keeping an automatic BCS bowl bid.
