FRESNO, Calif. --- Five Bulldog baseball players and Fresno State head coach Mike Batesole received preseason Mountain West honors from CollegeSportsMadness.com on Monday.

Among the five 'Dogs honored, outfielder Aaron Judge and infielders Jake Alvarez and Trent Garrison were named to CSM's preseason MW first-team while pitcher Tyler Linehan and 2012 conference tournament Most Valuable Player Jordan Luplow collected MW second-team distinctions.

The five preseason CSM selections were the second-most of any MW team as New Mexico, who like the Bulldogs also advanced to NCAA Regional play last season, reeled in six.

Heading into its first season in the Mountain West after winning seven straight Western Athletic Conference titles along with the 2008 national championship, Batesole earned CSM's preseason MW Coach of the Year honor.

Fresno State opens the 2013 season on Feb. 15 at 6:35 p.m. at home against UC Santa Barbara.
