(WESH) An 18-year-old Florida woman was arrested early Sunday after hitting a trooper and then driving away, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Gina Thais Ronqullio is charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and DUI property damage after the incident.

According to an arrest report, Ronqullio hit the trooper while he was working another crash near University Boulevard.

"His patrol car is struck by a vehicle traveling on University," said FHP spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Montes. "The car is then pushed into him and injures his leg, as the female driver takes off from the scene."

The trooper was still able to go after Ronqullio's car and then performed a Pursuit Immobilization Technique (P.I.T.) maneuver to stop it from moving, the report said.

Dash camera caught the P.I.T. maneuver and the resulting crash.
