Monica Sedra is a woman who loves her job. Because to her it's so much more than that, it's a calling.

"I don't think I ever wanted to do anything else. I think its something that I'm fortunate that I knew I wanted to do. I've never really had to think about a career choice, I've just always enjoyed children and being able to teach them."

Sedra has been teaching for 20 years now. She began her career in Clovis Unified and several years ago moved here to Thomas Law Reed Elementary in Reedley. Over the years she's made quite an impact...This young woman has plenty of good memories of her time in Sedra's kindergarten class.

"Its a special connection between everybody that has been here."

This beloved teacher is also a coach. Sedra spends plenty of her extra time volunteering for several different sports.

"To be nominated by someone is very humbling when there are so many amazing teachers, just that I work with alone. I there's thousands more in the central valley, so it's very humbling to be nominated let alone be selected."

Congratulations to Monica Sedra, our KSEE24 Educator of the Week.
